The mid-weight Cotton Canvas used here is made in the mill in England. Selected for it's texture and durability, the Canvas of our Jungle Jackets is designed to age gracefully and hold up over years of wear. The subtle texture is evident upon close inspection, and feels like an easy fabric to break in and become an old friend.
The fabric is then sent over to Informale's atelier in Melbourne, where it is handcut and sewed to make the jungle jacket. The jungle jacket is an interpretation of the 2nd Pattern Vietnam War Jungle Jacket made for the U.S. Army. Informale has retained its utilitarian nature, keeping the jacket unlined and the iconic shape of the front pockets, collar and cuffs. The silhouette has been greatly refined so as to adapt well to it’s new urban environment.
