The cotton used here is an Egyptian cotton, handpicked along the Nile river in Egypt. The Nile valley is known for its extremely fertile ground. Since no machine is used to pick them up, the result is an extremely strong and long yarn.
The yarns are then woven together in a warp & weft technique to make a one ply Egyptian cotton fabric. The fabric is then fully dyed in France. This pocket square has a signature colored satin band and a woven colored edge.
The weaving is done at Simonnot Godard's atelier located in Cambresis, in the North of France.
